HISTORY

1975 - May 9

Registered as G-BOAE to British Aircraft Corporation Ltd.

1977 - Mar 17

Maiden flight from Filton, Bristol.

1977 - Jul 20

Delivered to British Airways.

1979 - Jan 5

Re-registered as G-N94AE/N94AE to British Airways/Braniff Airways.

1980 - Jul 1

Re-registered as G-BOAE to British Airways.

1999 - Jul 1

G-BOAE flies in formation with the Red Arrows over Glasgow and Edinburgh as part of the ceremony at the opening of the Scottish Parliament.

2000 - Jul 23

Grounded after cracks are found in the wing. This turned out not to be serious but the aircraft remained grounded as a result of the Paris air crash on 25 July.

2001 - Nov 7

Services restart after the Paris air crash modification programme. G-BOAE is the first British Airways Concorde to fly passengers again, BA001 from Heathrow to New York.

2003 - Oct 24

Takes part in the final day of Concorde services. Piloted by Captain Andy Baillie and Captain Les Brodie, G-BOAE flies a return trip to Edinburgh, does a low circuit over London with G-BOAF and G-BOAG, all aircraft landing together at Heathrow just after 4pm.

2003 - Nov 17

Final flight to Granley Adams Airport Barbados.

2004 - May 4

De-registered from service.

Final Resting Place

G-BOAE is kept on display at Granley Adams Airport Barbados.
