Maiden flight from Toulouse.

Delivered to Air France.

1976 - Jan 21

F-BVFA flies the first commercial passenger flight for Air France. Packed with dignitaries, Air France flight AF085 piloted by Captain Pierre Chanoine flew to Dakar then Rio.

1979 - Jan 12

Re-registered as N94FA to Air France/Braniff Airways.

1980 - Jun 1

Re-registered as F-BVFA to Air France.

1990 - Aug 1

Completion of a major overhaul that had taken a year and had entailed being stripped down to basic skeleton and rebuilt.

2003 - May 30

Final passenger flight; AF001 from New York JFK to Paris Charles de Gaulle.

2003 - Jun 12

Final flight; AF4386 from Paris Charles de Gaulle to Washington Dulles where it was  put on display at the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum.
