Engineer Officer Paul Egginton

Concorde Flight Engineer

Paul Egginton completed an aviation apprenticeship at RAF Farnborough before joining BEA in 1963, subsequently transferring to BOAC in 1968 to become Flight Engineer on Boeing 707’s and later 747’s.

He started a six-month conversion course to fly Concorde in the Spring of 1978 and retired from the fleet in the Spring of 1998. In 20 years of operating Concorde Paul has accumulated 6,500 hours and crossed the Atlantic over 1800 times.
