Concorde Pilot, Flight Manager and Concorde General Manager

David Rowland (Pilot) joined BOAC in 1969 as a co-pilot / navigator on VC 10 aircraft. He joined the Concorde fleet as a co-pilot soon after the aircraft entered service in 1976. Having left to obtain his command on BAC 1-11 aircraft, he returned to Concorde as a Captain and Flight Manager of the fleet, later becoming Concorde Commercial Manager and then Concorde General Manager.
He retired in 1999. He is a Fellow and Council member of the Royal Aeronautical Society, Upper Freeman of the Guild of Air Pilots and Air Navigators and a Member of the Royal Institute of Navigation.
